Ernest W. Adams IV is a proud father of two wonderful children. He loves traveling, playing golf, and watching his son play soccer. He graduated from Bridgewater College with a degree in Business Administration and founded Adams Insurance Agency in 1993. As the agency owner, he is committed to providing exceptional service at affordable prices. About 15 years ago, Adams Insurance Agency transitioned from a captive agency representing one carrier to an independent agency representing over 30 carriers. He facilitated this change to provide a wide variety of insurance products and pricing options for our customers.

Melanie A. Brown, Office Manager and Commercial Specialist

Family is very important to Melanie. She was born and raised in Forest, VA. She is close to her parents, husband, and her children are her world. Most nights and weekends, you will find her on a softball field supporting her daughters and their teams. Melanie received her Associate of Arts and Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Virginia Community College and her Bachelor of Science in Business with a specialization in Marketing from Liberty University right here in Lynchburg, VA. She has over 20 years of local customer service experience, over 14 years' experience as a licensed insurance agent for Adams Insurance Agency, and 10 years of experience as the office manager. Melanie is dedicated to her customers and strives to make lifelong relationships. She focuses on providing products that best fit the needs of her clients while offering prices they can afford. Melanie is licensed for auto, home, flood, commercial, bonds, life, and group health insurance. She is our commercial and personal line specialist.

Tonya Carmichael was born and raised in Lynchburg and is the proud mother of three children. Tonya has over 12 years of insurance and customer service experience, 10 of which were previously here with Adams Insurance.
